Certain Aims/Objectives of NIEAA are:

• Promote academic, Research and Development activities.

• Organise endowment lectures by distinguished alumni and other professionals in each discipline of engineering.

• The alumni association has set up a rich and healthy tradition of identifying a distinguished alumnus and invite him or her for a special function every year, where they are honoured and felicitated with a citation.

• Organise alumni meets and family get-togethers in different places.

• Presently NIEAA promises to undertake the following important projects, which would highly benefit the Alumni:
  1. To build a building for an Office of its own and a Guest House where Alumni who visit Mysore could stay comfortably at a concessional rates.
  2. To arrange cultural programmes by Alumni and their families.
  3. To distribute sites to the Alumni through the organisation at a nominal rate by reviving the NIEAA housing Society or by fixing an agency to do so.
